Q. Can I mail in my registration?

A. Yes. Forms will be available soon, include your check or money order and mail.

Q. Where is Check-in?

A. Bethesda, 600 Hoffmann Dr., Watertown, WI 53094.

Q. Where does the money go?

A. This event is run and organized by the Watertown Challenge Association and dedicated volunteers, no paid employees. We use the money to cover the cost of a first class event. This includes  your dinner, swag, shirt, medal, obstacles, etc. Proceeds are donated to Bethesda and other local charities. Bethesda provides support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Learn more, www.BethesdaLutheranCommunities.org

Q. Are canoes or kayaks supplied?

A. No. A limited number of kayaks and canoes are available for rent.

Q. What if I bring a friend, can they eat?

A. It is free to watch the event. Drink and meal tickets will be available for purchase the day of the race, while supplies last.

Q. Should I bring a road or mountain bike?

A. The biking section paved so it is your call.

Q. How long does it take to complete the race?

A. About 2-3 hours on average. Remember, many participants do the event at a leisurely non-competitive pace.

Q. What time can I drop off equipment the morning of the race?

A. All the checkpoints will open at 7:30 am.

Q. What is the terrain like for the run?

A. The run is off road and rugged at times.

Q. What if it rains on race day?

A. You will get wet. We may delay the start of the race if there is lightning, however, the race will go on.

Q. How competitive is the race?

A. The majority of racers will go at a leisurely pace.

Q. Is there a time limit to complete the course?

A. In order to be fair to our volunteers there is a time limit. You will be asked to stop the challenge 4 hours after your start time. Most will finish in less than 2 hours.

Q. Can I use a raft instead or a canoe or kayak?

A. No, we need to keep the race moving. You must supply 100% of the boat movement via paddles.

Q. What does my registration fee include?

A. Race entry, swag bag with shirt and a meal ticket, plus stay for the post-race party.

Q. What will I need the day of the race?

A. Shoes, bike, helmet, for paddle and bike portion, – tire pump, patch kit, boat, life vest, and water. You may also want to consider bringing sunscreen, bug spray, and dry clothes for at the finish line.
